MEET THE TEAM
Megan graduated from Hamline University with a major in legal studies and a minor in political science. She also obtained her paralegal certificate while in college. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Boston to work as a paralegal in a large insurance defense firm. Megan returned to Hamline University to attend law school. After Megan obtained her law degree and became licensed in Minnesota, she started working at a personal injury firm in Minneapolis, where she quickly rose to become a partner. Megan went solo in 2019 when she started Megan Curtis Law, PLLC. Megan has been licensed to practice law in Minnesota since 2012 and was admitted to the federal bar in 2020.
Megan has been named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers for five years in a row for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 (this is an award given to less than 3% of attorneys in MN), and was also named by Super Lawyers as one of the "Top Women Attorneys" (Rising Star) in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Megan grew up in the beautiful town of Red Wing, MN. She participated in 4-H and liked to ride horses, garden, and play the piano. Megan graduated from Red Wing High School but also spent a few years at the Perpich Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley, MN where her specialty was piano performance and composition. In her free time Megan enjoys using her Peloton, doing yoga, spending time with family, going to the dog park with the family dogs, riding horses, and traveling.
Megan M. Curtis
Attorney at Law
Megan grew up in Minnesota and attended Lakeville High School. She became a legal assistant in 2012 when she worked with Megan Curtis at a personal injury law firm in Minneapolis. She then worked as a Senior Court Clerk in the Ramsey County Criminal court system and in law firms focusing on criminal law and social security disability. When Megan C. opened her solo practice in 2019, she couldn't wait to hire "Megan #2" to be her legal assistant (note - there is a longstanding joke about who is actually Megan #1 and who is Megan #2).
In her free time Megan is both a bio mom and foster mom. Her family enjoys traveling, dancing, and watching crime show documentaries. Megan is also an avid fan of "The Office". Megan's favorite part of being a legal assistant is being able to use her empathetic and nurturing personality to give Megan Curtis Law's clients the care and attention they deserve.
